Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to know about fluoride?

Fluoride is a safe, naturally occurring mineral that greatly improves the strength and life of your teeth. Many communities recognize the importance of fluoride, particularly for children, and add it to the town water supply. However, with the popularity of un-fluoridated, bottled water, many people do not receive the recommended amount of fluoride to maintain strong teeth. Depending on the level of Fluoride in your water, we may recommend fluoride supplement tablets and fluoride treatments for children to protect their teeth from premature decay and cavities. For details about fluoride, give us a call, and we’ll be happy to address your concerns.

What insurance and payment methods do you accept?

We accept most insurance plans. Insurance plans are designed to help pay part of the cost of dental treatment and we will gladly file your insurance claims as a convenience. Your payment can be made using cash, check, or credit card. We also offer interest free financing to those who qualify through a local lending company. Ask us for details!

What safety standards do you implement in your practice?

We take safety and cleanliness very seriously at our practice because they directly impact your well-being. We not only meet, but exceed stringent OSHA and CDC sterilization standards. That means that every instrument and diagnostic tool you come in contact with in our office is sufficiently sanitized to protect your health. Keeping you and your family safe is our primary concern in every treatment we deliver.

What tips do you recommend to orthodontic patients?

Wearing braces needn’t be a cumbersome process – we work closely with your orthodontist to make your orthodontic experience a success. We recommend daily brushing, flossing, and a mouthwash rinse to keep your mouth fresh and clean. We also suggest oral hygiene visits every three months (rather than every six months) to ensure that your teeth and gums remain sparkling clean and free from dangerous bacteria. Additionally, we recommend a prescription Fluoride tooth gel and use of a rotary toothbrush.
